IT'S LAST orders for a Southampton nightclub after months of uncertainty.

The Dungeon, one of the city's longest-running clubs, was threatened with closure in January but stayed open.

But now its management say it will close, adding that the business has been deemed unviable.

The landlords are inviting regulars to visit the venue for one last night from 9pm to 2am tonight.

Speaking on Facebook on April 19 the landlords said: "After 27 incredible years Tony [Court] would like to thank all the staff who have worked at the Dungeon, those that loved the place and all the supporting team who have helped us reopen.

"Regrettably the brewery don't see it viable to keep the venue open with the lack of support recently (and this is understandable considering they have already helped him out with so much in reopening).

"We will be open this Friday & Saturday for one final farewell. Thanks and much love from the Dungeon."

Regulars at the club have voiced their disappointment at the closure, with Francesca Stout writing on the club's Facebook page: "Met many friends there, who are still friends 20 plus years later, got together with a few of my former partners there, my friends proposed to each other there, and we had many, many good times there!

"We even hired mini-buses from Salisbury, and I still have my guest pass from 20 plus years ago! Thanks to everyone who made so many happy memories possible."
