SHATTERED glass, twisted metal and the barren shell of a business.
This is the scene which met investigators two days after a firework shop blaze which stunned the city.
After explosions and hours of raging fire, the dust has settled on the Fireworks Factory in Bitterne.

Firefighters have continued to visit the site in Bitterne Road West this weekend after the fire raged on for ten hours on Friday.
This morning a solitary crew member was taking photos of the scene.
But the scene is in stark contrast to what more than 70 firefighters faced after the fire initially started at 5am.
The blaze, which saw fire spontaneously erupt throughout the day, took over the city with residents near the factory relocated for their safety, roads surrounding the area closed and scores of firefighters and scene investigators manning the area to watch for ‘flare ups’.
Now the eerie scene has been left to settle.
Yesterday firefighters from Hightown said they were sent to watch the factory regularly throughout the day to check for an embers or evidence of further danger but the watch manager said it had calmed down “significantly” and investigations would be ongoing.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were not expecting a report from the investigation until late next week and until then they would be checking the scene regularly.
