PUPILS in Southampton had the chance to feel like Olympians after their school was picked to host a visit from the Paralympic torch.
Ahead of it taking centre stage in Rio this September, organisers are staging a tour through the UK.
Springhill Catholic Primary School in Southampton was chosen as a host by the tour, one of only 100 schools in the country to receive the honour.
The aim of the tour was to inspire young people through the Paralympic values: courage, determination, equality and inspiration.
Springhill staged its own parade of the torch allowing pupils to take turns in carrying through the school grounds.
The games begin in Rio on September 7 where the torch will be used to light the Paralympic flame, concluding on September 18.
