A THIRD zebra from Marwell Zoo’s Zany Zebra trail in Southampton has been taken away for repairs.
Zeeberry, a vivid strawberry red zebra designed by Deven Burke has been taken away to have some hoof damage repaired and it is unclear whether the damage was caused by vandals.
The beast, which is sponsored by Pickwell Farm Shop, had been placed next to the Paul de Monchaux’s 2000 sculpture Enclosure in Watt’s Park but was taken away by fibreglass experts earlier today.
A spokesperson from Marwell Zoo said: “It’s a very small issue and Zeeberry needs a very small repair. He will be back out as soon as possible.”
They were unable to say whether the damage had been caused by vandalism.
