A MAN was robbed after being approached in a park in Southampton.

The 34-year-old victim was walking through Hoglands Park between 4.30pm and 5pm on August 14 when the robbery happened.

He was approached by two men and a woman, and was punched in the face by one of the men.

The blow caused him to fall to the ground and the group stole his wallet and phone before walking off towards Debenhams.

The first man is described as white, about 25 years old, 6ft tall and with long, curly dark blond hair, and was wearing blue jeans and trainers.

The second man is described as Asian, 5ft 6ins tall, short dark hair, had facial stubble and was wearing a green t-shirt.

And the woman was described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, with dark hair tied up in a ponytail and wearing a spotted or polka dot trousers.

Detective Constable Amanda Shearsby from the Western Investigation Team said: “This incident occurred in daylight hours in a popular park in the centre of Southampton.

“I am appealing directly to anyone who was in the park on this Sunday around this time who may have seen this group or witnessed the assault.
