A MAN has been found dead in a Southampton tower block.
Police officers are currently on the scene at Millbrook Towers, following the discovery yesterday.
Witnesses have said how they saw officers descend on the tower at just after 1pm.
"We haven’t been told what has happened so hopefully it is nothing serious."
Hampshire Constabulary issued a statement on the incident yesterday.
It says: "We were called shortly before 10.30am on Sunday, October 8, by our colleagues at South Central Ambulance Service, to reports of a 57-year-old man in cardiac arrest at a flat in Millbrook Towers, Southampton.
"The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course."
One resident said: "We saw two cars approach the tower and thought someone was wrong.
Another added: "We see police cars up in this area quite a lot so it didn’t really make me stop and look."
