AN EVENT to discuss government policy on plastics will be held next month.

The evening of talks and discussions at Southampton Solent University will ask whether the government's plan to eliminate unnecessary plastics by 2042 is too long.

As part of responsible business week 2018 Dr Laurie Wright will explore the world of plastics, its effects on our environment, and ask whether the 25 year environment plan for plastics is too little too late.

During the evening you will also have the opportunity to network with peers over light refreshments.

It starts at 5.30pm unitl 7pm at The Spark building on East Park Terrace.

It's free and takes place on April 26
