A corner store in Southampton could be temporarily stripped of its alcohol licence today for selling fake bottles of Jacobs Creek wine.
Trading standards officers found 24 bottles of the “poor quality” counterfeit wine for sale at £8 each at the Dallas Food Stores in Northam Road.
Trading standards want councillors to suspend the shop’s licence for a week as a punishment along with tighter conditions on record keeping and CCTV. The store was unavailable for comment.
