POLICE found more than 250 cannabis plants when they uncovered a drugs factory in a house in Southampton.

Now 31-year-old Michal Koscielski has been warned he will be jailed, following the discovery at a house in Alexander Road.

A police drugs expert estimated the crop had a potential yield of £31,360 at street level.

Koscielski pleaded guilty to being concerned in the production of cannabis and possessing methadone and psilocin when he appeared before city magistrates who committed him for sentence at the crown court.

Earlier this week he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis but denied possessing the same drug with intent to supply. His pleas were accepted by the prosecution.

Peter Asteris, defending, told Judge Peter Ralls QC that Koscielski knew he would receive a jail sentence and his wife and two children had returned to Poland. Koscielski, of no fixed abode, was further remanded in custody pending sentence on June 11.
