DETECTIVES are hunting a masked robber who stole £50 worth of pizzas from a delivery man in Southampton.

The 27-year-old man was delivering the pizzas to a property at Canute House in Orchard Lane when he was approached by a man who demanded the food.

The delivery man handed the pizzas over after being threatened by the robber who then ran off.

Police are now investigating the incident that happened just after 11.15pm on Monday.

The robber was described as white, 5ft 8ins, of skinny build and blue eyes but had covered the rest of his face. He was wearing a black and green woolly jumper.

Detectives also want to speak to a woman who was standing nearby and may have seen the robbery in progress. She was described as having brown hair and aged about 19.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Cons Simon Yearsley at Southampton Central police station on 101.
