Alresford Community Choir is busy preparing for its Christmas show, A Carol for Everyone.

The concert is being held at St John’s Church on December 15 and will offer something for everyone, combining carols and seasonal music with traditional and contemporary readings and songs.

The choir will be joined by young musicians and readers from Perins and Sun Hill Infant and Junior schools, as well as members of the Alresford Community Theatre Society. The choir has more than 100 members, having earned a glowing reputation with recent performances of Zimbe and choral support of Blake at the Theatre Royal.

Musical director Keith Clark said: “This concert is about bringing the whole community together to raise the roof and celebrate the start of the festive season. We’re all working hard and I’ve no doubt that the evening will be a one-off event to remember.”

Tickets are £10, inclusive of a free glass of wine or soft drink, and can be bought from Six West (formerly County News), in West Street, Alresford.
