THE Hunchback of Notre Dame in Winchester Cathedral, Knights of the Round Table at The Great Hall, Orson Welles classic F for Fake in an art gallery and the Ealing Comedy the Ladykillers in a High Street bank! They’re just three of the treats on offer as part of Winchester Film Festival, which runs until April 13.Established in 2010, the event aims to screen great films in atmospheric locations around the city.
Organisers strive to find new and interesting locations that provide the perfect settings in which to rediscover classic films, or even catch them for the first time. This year’s line-up includes Strangers On a Train at Winchester, A Bunch of Amateurs at the Chesil Theatre, Henry’s Crime at Theatre Royal Winchester and Great Expectations at St John’s House.
