A HAMPSHIRE teenager has been shortlisted to become the face of a national advertising campaign.

Student Eleanor Western, 16, was scouted during a national model search and is now in with a chance to front a glossy magazine campaign for a new Colgate toothpaste.

The top ten finalists have been sent to ‘boot camp’ for coaching by industry experts on castings, nutrition, catwalk style and how to strike the perfect pose.

Fashion designer and Made in Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock has mentored the girls on the pressures and expectations which come with a place in the limelight.

Eleanor is competing for a contract as part of the globally renowned Elite Model Look competition, which has discovered superstars such as Cindy Crawford and Stephanie Seymour.

She said: “I would love to get the contract. I was so surprised, as I have never had the chance to do something like this before.”

The winner will be announced at the final of the Elite Model Look competition at Porchester Hall, London, on September 4.
