IT was not the present children were hoping for when Santa's little helper came to visit a Winchester boutique.
High street chain Jigsaw opened late for the city's Christmas lights switch-on, treating revellers to mulled wine, nibbles and a visit from Mickey Potter, a miniature Shetland pony.
Mickey, thought to be Britain's smallest Shetland, came complete with Santa outfit to entertain the crowds.
But festivities had to be put on hold after the pint-sized pony pooped on the shop floor.
Children laughed and took pictures through the window, much to the embarrassment of the animal's owner who works in the store.
