Forum agrees to invest in solar panels study
WINCHESTER Town Forum has agreed to spend £1,000 on a study into the possibility of installing solar panels on buildings in Winnall.
Cllr Anne Weir said that it would look at the potential of installing the panels on the roofs of public, commercial and industrial buildings, including those owned by the city council.
The forum agreed to take the money from the grit bins budget.
It is hoped that the survey will be completed by March 2015 – the end of the financial year
