A ROCK school that works with youngsters in Winchester is now opening its doors to adults with two new sessions.

Winnall Rock School wants to encourage adults of all ages and abilities to improve their skills.

The first class, called Rockers, will devise and play music in a rock band format with guitar, bass, keys and drums on Monday or Thursday evenings between 7pm and 8.30pm.

The second session, Strummers, will see adults learn to play and sing familiar songs on acoustic string instruments, including guitar and banjo.

It will run on Monday or Thursday evenings from 7pm until 8pm.

There are instruments available to borrow, or participants can take their own.

The school is hosting a free meet-and-greet evening at the studios at King Alfred Youth Activity Centre, in Winnall Valley Road, on Monday, January 12, at 7pm.

For more information and to book a place at the meet and greet email winnallrock school@hotmail.co.uk, call 07592 030292, or go online at winnallrockschool.com.
