POLICE have issued an urgent appeal to find a missing Hampshire teenager.

Sixteen-year-old Isabelle Thomsen, known as Izzy, was last seen in Winchester yesterday.

She failed to turn up to an arranged collection point and her loved ones are concerned about her welfare.

In an appeal to Izzy, investigating officer PC Darren Dixon said: "Izzy, if you're reading this, please get in touch with us. You're not in trouble. We're concerned for you and want to talk to you to make sure you're ok.

“If anyone else has spotted Izzy, particularly in the Winchester or Andover area, or knows where she is, please let us know.”

Ellie Thomsen said her little sister Izzy, 16, had been described as "incoherent, confused, shaking and lost".

She posted on social media yesterday: "She was last seen in Andover next to the Iron Museum at approx. 1:30pm today, the 10th March 2015.

Daily Echo:

"Izzy is 16 years old, 5’8”, very slim with medium length dark brown hair. Recently we lost our mum to cancer and since then she has struggled with mental health issues which seem to have taken her out of control today, possibly due to her antidepressants.

"We are very concerned for her safety and wellbeing and have been searching all day with no luck. The police are aware of the situation and have been searching for her for most of the day now, but I wanted to put our a plea to PLEASE contact me if you have seen her at all today and whereabouts that was/what state she was in.

"If anyone happens to encounter her, please call the police on 999 or 101 immediately and try not to let her wander off as she is not in a state to care for herself right now. Thank you."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Dixon at North Walls police station on 101.
