A HAMPSHIRE theatre is hosting a modern adaptation of a classic play that is celebrating its 120th anniversary.
Written in 1895 by Anton Chekhov, The Seagull has been reignited for this century by Anya Reiss.
The Chesil Theatre in Winchester is bringing the play to its stage and director Deborah Edgington chose this translation over four others.
The Seagull runs daily until Saturday, July 18 with performances at 7.45pm and a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.
Tickets are available at chesiltheatre.org.uk or by ringing 0333 666 3366.
