A FASHION house in Hampshire has celebrated a year in business.

The firm is based in one of the biggest showrooms in Winchester.

House of Gallét was set up in Molly’s Den in Winnall with both new and second-hand designer wear.

It also had a small collection of ex-display wedding dresses to mark the occasion.

The firm is run by mother and daughter team Joanne and Carol Gallét. They welcomed guests with a small soiree and a glass of fizz to celebrate almost a year in business.

The duo set out on the House of Gallét venture August 23 last year.

During the celebration they were surrounded by friends and wellwishers.

The pair gave an inside glimpse into their new showroom, after moving to bigger space inside the antique emporium.

Joanne said: “We had some great reactions to our new store sign, which showed off our wedding dress collection which said ‘buy now, marry later’.

“We have added some more designer stock as well.

“We have more than 600 items of new and nearly-new designer wear with a small collection of ex-display wedding dresses in store, all below even high street prices – so an affordable shopping heaven.

“People really responded well as they shopped with a glass of champagne in their hands, amazed at finding a store like ours in an emporium like Molly’s Den.

“We tried to create a walk-in wardrobe small boutique feel and I think we pulled it off.

“It’s not easy to start a new business but I think sheer determination and passion has carried us through this far.”

Earlier this year House of Gallét staged a charity fashion show a the Hotel du Vin to raise funds and awareness for children’s hospice charity, Naomi House.
