A HAMPSHIRE road has been closed due to a serious crash involving a car and a lorry.
The A303 is shut between the A34 where it joins at Bullington, north of Sutton Scotney, and the A3093 that goes into Andover.
Police are describing it as a 'serious incident' and that the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit are investigating.
The road has been closed since at least 5.30pm and is expected to be closed until around 11.30pm.
A diversion has been set up.
Westbound traffic should exit the A303 at the junction with the A34 and join the A34 northbound towards Newbury.
Motorists should leave the A34 at Wash Common interchange and join the A343 towards Andover.
At Andover they join the A3093 southbound to re-join the A303 westbound.
