THE jury in the case of Daniel McBride has now been sent out for their deliberations.
The 44-year-old is up at Winchester Crown Court for the murder of Majella Lynch, 51, who died from injuries after a shampoo bottle was found inserted in her.
McBride, of St Denys Road, denies the charges claiming he had gone to the vulnerable woman's flat in St Mary's Road to respond to her pleas for help, the court had heard.
Known to her friends as Maj, she was pronounced dead at Southampton General Hospital after she was rushed there just after lunchtime on April 18 last year.
