A SPECIAL guard of honour greeted a newly-wed couple outside the church in Winchester.
Ten soldiers from the Royal Tank regiment raised their swords for Capt Jun Sandeman, 29, and Liberty Allen, 27, at St Peter's Church on Jewry Street last Saturday.
The couple are from London but Liberty's grandmother Jose, 92, lives in Manningford Close, Weeke, and St Peter's is the family church.
Liberty's mother Wendy said: "We are overjoyed to see Jun and Liberty marry in the family church. It meant a lot to us. to have a military guard of honour was an added bonus. It all felt so right and so special. Their joy shone through."
The bride and groom drove from Manningford Close to the church in a Word War Two American Jeep.
