The play area at Dean Park
A POLICE investigation has been launched after an eight-year-old fell from a zip wire and suffered serious injuries.
The boy was using the zip wire at the Dean Park play area in Weeke, Winchester before he fell to the ground, hitting his head and sustaining serious injuries.
He was then taken to Southampton General Hospital but has since been discharged.
Hampshire Constabulary are investigating the incident, which happened at about 5pm on March 25, and are appealing for anyone who saw the boy fall to get in touch.
