TWO drivers caused school run mayhem by refusing to move for an hour as they clashed at a pinch point.
The motorists have been branded "idiotic" after getting in each others' way in St James' Lane, Winchester.
"Fuming" mum Janice Porter said her eight-year-old son was left crying in the rain as her children waited to be picked up from Kings' School.
Ms Porter, from Shawford, said: "I was waiting there for almost an hour – my kids were waiting in the pouring rain for me."
The clash occurred on Tuesday afternoon as a Vauxhall Astra headed across a single-lane railway bridge with a Ford Focus coming the other way.
Ms Porter joked that it was "tempting" to go and hit the pair.
"They didn't do a lot, they just stared at each other," she added.
Winchester residents expressed their anger at the stubborn drivers after Ms Porter shared her experience on Facebook.
Steve George said: "Bunch of useless idiotic drivers. Says a lot for the standard of driving around this place. So many people that don't have a clue how our roads are meant to work."
