FORMER Mayor of London Boris Johnson is coming to Hampshire today as he ramps up his campaign for an EU exit.

The Tory heavyweight will join Vote Leave supporters on the streets of Winchester from 12.10pm.

It comes days after David Cameron and Chancellor George Osborne visited Eastleigh to unveil Treasury analysis suggesting that Brexit could lead to 800,000 job losses.

Mr Johnson, the Brexit campaign's most high-profile figure, is expected to walk from Winchester Cathedral to King Alfred's statue at the foot of the high Street.

The Uxbridge MP's most recent clash with the Remain camp came over the Treasury analysis, which he dismissed as a "hoax".

He is the fifth senior Conservative to visit the county in the past two months, with the Prime Minister and Chancellor following Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond and Chris Grayling, the pro-Brexit leader of the House of Commons.
