MOTORISTS on both the M3 faced delays this morning after a five-vehicle pile-up, while a broken down vehicle has caused tailbacks on the M27.
One lane of the M3 was blocked between junction 11 for Winchester and 12 for Eastleigh (North), leading to delays back to junction 14.
Police and South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) were called to an incident on the M3 southbound between junctions 11 and 12 this morning after a crash involving up to five cars resulted in lanes two and three being blocked.
A spokeswoman from SCAS said: "We were called at 8.32 this morning about a road traffic collision on the M3 between junctions 11 and 12.
"We assessed and treated three patients at the scene for minor injuries. None of them required hospital treatment."
Cars were moved onto the hard shoulder.
On the other side of the carriageway, one lane of the northbound motorway was closed due to a tyre which needed its tyres changing.
And on the M27 and A31 westbound traffic is very slow moving from junction 1 to the Minstead exit due to a broken down vehicle which is blocking one lane.
#M27/#A31 westbound - Very slow moving from M27 J1 to the #Minstead exit, broken down vehicle blocking 1 lane.
