SHE is the TV star who has gone from Coronation Street to the jungle – but was most recently spotted paying a visit to a Hampshire hospice.

Helen Flanagan took time out of her busy schedule to visit Naomi House Hospice at Sutton Scotney near Winchester.

The 26-year-old actress is best known for playing Rosie Webster in the ITV soap Coronation Street, and she also appeared in I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2012.

More recently, however, she has been spending time with her boyfriend and footballer Scott Sinclair and she became a mum to daughter Matilda last year.

In her visit to Naomi House she got messy helping with some arts and crafts activities and spent time touring the charity’s state-of-the-art facilities.

She also spent time with the Naomi House & Jacksplace nursing team learning about the complexities of their job and the support they offer families on good days, difficult days and last days.

Helen said: “It was a pleasure to visit Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices where the staff and facilities were amazing. I was overwhelmed by the care provided for these young people and the commitment to give these children some independence and dignity. It really is a wonderful place and it was a privilege to be there.”

Helen has also agreed to appear at the charity’s forthcoming Foam Fest Fun Run at Beaulieu Motor Museum in the New Forest. She will be cheering on more than 500 runners as they make their way around a 3km foam filled obstacle course on 25th September. The event is expected to raise close to £35,000 which is enough to cover the salary of one of the hospice’s highly skilled nurses.

Marketing Manager for Naomi House & Jacksplace, Keith Wilson said: “Helen was hugely generous with her time and was brilliant with the children we care for here. We are so very grateful to her for visiting the hospices to surprise our families and staff, and for agreeing to support our forthcoming Foam Fest event.”
