BLAST off!

This December, Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium is inviting children to take off into space and help save Christmas with an interactive, presenter-led show that explores the solar system, while helping Santa to make sure Christmas can go ahead as planned.

The live planetarium show, Space Mission for Santa, is especially designed with families in mind, as it brings a Christmas twist to a learning experience. Guests will find out a little about some of our neighbouring worlds, while enjoying a lot of calling out, heckling and pointing!

Lasting 30 minutes, Space Mission for Santa is best for children aged up to about 10 years old. Children are also invited to interact with the show, by calling out whilst they enjoy some terrible jokes and learn about the planets.

Ben Ward, Chief Executive at Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium, says: “Space Mission for Santa is the perfect way to help our visitors get into the Christmas spirit, whilst learning a little bit more about our solar system. A planetarium show is a wonderful experience as the domed screen completely surrounds the audience, placing everyone right in the action. And as an interactive Chatterbox show, Space Mission for Santa is designed with children in mind, so they can make as much noise as they want and get involved in the show."

Space Mission for Santa shows will be available from December 3 to 23.
