A HAMPSHIRE road will remain closed this week as part of a multimillion-pound scheme to build more than 50 new care homes.
Barfield Close, near Winchester city centre, will remain closed until Thursday, including to pedestrians, to allow a tower crane to be removed.
The route is often used to access one of the city’s biggest car parks, the Chesil multi-storey.
The road was closed for five months in January for construction work to take place on the £15million Chesil Lodge development.
It was shut again for four weeks in July as the work continued.
The 52 extra-care flats are due to be completed in autumn this year.
