A DEVASTATED family has paid tribute to a 'kind, caring and cheeky' teenager who died in a motorbike crash.

Jack Prebble, 18, of Durley, was riding the bike in Bishop's Waltham, along with a 15-year-old girl as passenger, when the collision happened.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the B3035 at about 8.45pm on Saturday, September 2, and Jack was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

The teenage girl was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Jack's family have paid tribute to him and said: "Jack really was such a kind, caring, cheeky young lad with so much ahead of him, thriving in doing what he loved.

"He joined the Army last June and was going from strength to strength and enjoying every moment.

"We are so proud of Jack for what he has achieved in his life. He could light up a room with his smile.

"We cannot find words to describe how we feel as a family - we are just completely heartbroken.

"Jack, we love you, we are proud of you and every day we will miss you."

Police are investigating the crash and are asking anyone who has information to call the constabulary on 101, quoting reference number 44170340998, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
