THESE starlings look as if they are feeling the love on Valentine’s Day.
The murmuration were recently spotted by Chronicle reader Anne Oddie over the Ford dealership on Easton Lane, Winnall.
Ms Oddie, of Eastgate Street, like many others enjoys the birds' beautiful aerial manoeuvres as dusk settles over the city. She says the heart was captured without the aid of any technical alterations.
The starlings have been in the news after their roost near the Fire Station on Easton Lane was chopped down by the county council. Initially the authorities said the reason was 'health and safety' and because bird excrement was splattering police cars.
Last week the county council leader Roy Perry said it was because the trees roots were in danger of damaging nearby buildings.
