HUNDREDS of Hampshire pupils learnt about career opportunities in aviation and aerospace at the recent Farnborough International Airshow.
Some 200 pupils, aged 11 to 18, pictured, were wowed by flying displays and activity trails, and had the opportunity to talk to experts from across the aerospace and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields.
The trip was arranged by Solent LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership), whose director Chris Allington said: “We’re very proud to be able to work with our partners to bring this opportunity to children in the Solent. It’s incredibly important that the public and private sectors work together to nurture the next generation of workers in this key industry for the region.”
