PUPILS were certainly pleased to be back at Moyles Court School in Hampshire, where this term they are under the stewardship of new head teacher Richard Milner-Smith.

The appointment of Mr Milner-Smith is not the only new thing happening at the independent school near Ringwood, where they are also launching a newlook website, a virtual learning environment for students and introducing an online GCSE in psychology.

Mr Milner-Smith, previously deputy head at the school, said: “The new website and all our recent innovations are a great way to kick-start the new academic year at Moyles Court. We are providing a wealth of information for students, parents, teachers and our community and these are fine examples of the steps being taken to ensure all of our pupils are supported as much as possible in their learning.”

Mr Milner-Smith, who replaces Greg Meakin, also paid tribute to the outgoing students who notched up yet more impressive GCSE grades.

Mr Milner-Smith said: “It’s been a fantastic and uplifting start to the new academic year. I am extremely proud of our students and their achievements this summer.

“They have worked hard and have been very positive, both in their studies and in their contributions to the life of the school.”
