STUDENTS danced back to a time before they were born for their end of year show.

Eastleigh College Level 2 and Level 3 Dance students showcased their skills in a high-energy performance entitled “Back to the 90s”.

Based around the music of the 1990s the production included a wide range of styles including ballet, urban, jazz, musical theatre and contemporary dance and was choreographed by staff and students.

The show formed the centrepiece of the students’ final year assessments, as in addition to being graded on their choreography and performance, the students have also been learning about the social, economic and artistic history of the era to incorporate into their dance.

April Inglis, course manager, commented: “Performing in the Show gives the students experience in the whole performance process, including choreography, rehearsal and working as a team”.
