James Ward-Prowse enjoyed encouraging children at a Southampton school as part of his work with the Saints Foundation.
Youngsters participated in a classroom session at Redbridge Community School on leadership skills with the England Under-21s captain, followed by football training exercises alongside the Saints midfielder.
They then headed over to a boxing gym in St Mary's, where older children taught them basic boxing skills alongside Ward-Prowse.
The day was part of BT Sport’s charitable initiative The Supporters Club, which teamed up with Saints to support Saints Connect, a project targeting young people across Southampton’s most disadvantaged communities.
The partnership is the latest in a string of programmes with other Premier League teams such as Everton, Newcastle and Spurs.
It is also the focus of a documentary that airs on BT Sport 1 before Saints’ south-coast clash with Bournemouth in the Premier League next Tuesday.
Ward-Prowse said: "It's a great initiative to help schoolkids who are going through a difficult time. It was a pleasure to be involved and help them."
