THERE’S no place like Crestwood...
Pupil at the college in Eastleigh are preparing to perform the classic musical the Wizard of Oz for four nights at the Cherbourg campus of the newly-amalgamated school.
Phoebe Ralph stars as Dorothy, alongside Charlotte Phillips as the Tin Man, Hannah Walters as the Scarecrow and Thomas Read as the Cowardly Lion.
The Wizard of Oz is the school's first performance since the merger with neighbouring school Quilley.
Mrs Krista Dawkins, headteacher said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff who have been involved in the show, all parents and guardians who have provided support to our pupils but most of all the pupils who have worked extremely hard over the last three terms for their amazing efforts; well done and break a leg!”
The school's rebranding exercise was given a boost when popular Radio One DJ Scott Mills gave the search for a new school name a mention on air.
The former pupil, who has visited his old school to speak to pupils about his media career, joked with listeners who suggested the school be renamed Scott Mills High.
The Wizard of Oz runs from tomorrow for four nights.
The curtain goes up 7.30pm and tickets costs £7 for adults and £5 for concessions.
