THERE was a 12-percentage-point jump in the proportion of pupils leaving Cantell Maths and Computing College with at least five top grades in their GCSEs to 63 per cent.
There was a drop in those gaining the top grades including maths and English, from 46 per cent to 41 per cent, but head teacher Ruth Evans said that was “not unexpected given the different profile” of the year group.
She said: “We were confident that they would deliver Cantell’s best results yet and they have indeed achieved this, which sees the trend of improvement and progress at Cantell continuing.
“All-in-all, a really encouraging set of results for Cantell and a real testament to the hard work of our students, supported by their families and our staff.”
