Vocational courses in land-based subjects

Situated four miles from Winchester, Sparsholt College Hampshire offers vocational courses in a wide variety of land-based subjects including animal management, equine, conservation and wildlife, gamekeeping, horticulture, arboriculture and forestry and sports academies. Courses are available from entry level through to degree level, with the majority of students taking post-16 diploma courses.

With extensive campus facilities – including a fishing lake and dedicated Aquatics centre, an Olympic training standard equine centre, acres of gardens, glasshouses and polytunnels, natural woodland, sports centre, veterinary nursing surgery, a collection of rare and exotic animals and four hundred acres of farmland – students are able to practice their skills at first hand, getting real life experience to prepare them for their future.

Facilities are matched by the experience and expertise of the teaching staff, many of whom contribute to research and journals in their specific fields.

Continued investment in facilities maintains Sparsholt College’s national and international reputation, with a clear focus on enabling all students to achieve their full potential, contributing to the future of land-based and animal industries in the UK and beyond.
