MORE jobs and services need to come to Eastleigh says 49-year-old business journalist Leo Barraclough.
The Labour candidate wants to see major corporations encouraged to set up bases or headquarters in the town to stimulate the economy.
The dad-of-one said he would fight for a shake-up of the education and health systems.
He claims school's could be brought under the town's control and raise standards by applying for Trust and Academy status.
Mr Barraclough also wants to see more money pumped into medical services so less perhaps have to travel to Southampton or Winchester to get treatment.
Cash should also go towards theatre, music and dance in the area to enrich the cultural life of the town, he added.
Mr Barraclough is originally from Northampton, did a degree in American Studies at Manchester University and currently lives in Brighton with his wife Delphine who is a project manager for the NHS.
If elected he said he will move to Eastleigh.
