BRRRACE yourself – we are set for a rather chilly night in Hampshire.
That’s the message from highways teams who are set to hit our roads tonight to spread grit in response to near-freezing temperatures.
Priority ‘A’ roads will be salted for a fourth night in a row as teams strive to reduce the risk to road users.
It comes as the Met Office has issued a yellow cold weather alert for Hampshire, with temperatures expected to drop to 1C overnight and possibly lower.
And the chance of rain in the county is very low now until the end of the year.
Highways teams are urging motorists to take extra care in case of icy conditions and to not assume all roads have been treated.
