Mr Darcy wins readers' poll

Sixteen per cent of Southampton women voted Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, featuring Mr Darcy, as their favourite classic novel, while nine per cent of men chose Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, according to a survey by Blackwell bookstores.
