A SOUTHAMPTON charity is just £50,000 short of its target to give disabled youngsters a better life.

Fundraisers at the Rose Road Association are now close to raising the £300,000 target for their Change My Life appeal which was launched a year ago.

It aims to raise £2,000 for each of the 150 young people with learning difficulties at the Bradbury Centre in Aldermoor Road.

Neil Wilson, director of business development at the charity, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have just passed the £250,000 mark for Change My Life.

“The amazing progress we have made has been due in no small part to our wonderful Crystal Ball which raised over £20,000, our Christmas collections where the local community gave so generously and most recently the Valentine skydive where 15 people raised over £3,000.”
