A WOMAN died after injuries suffered in a residential home fall, an inquest heard.

Lilian Gardner, 95, was being cared for at Solent Mead care home in Lymington when she fell near her bed.

Tina Britton, manager at the home, told the coroner that Mrs Gardner was found on the floor of her room by a member of staff and was taken to hospital.

Medics tried to treat her but she died on August 11 after complications from multiple injuries.

Coroner Grahame Short recorded a verdict of accidental death.
