A DETERMINED cancer sufferer and group of friends have teamed up to bare all and raise money for charity.

Sue Bisland, 50, was first diagnosed with the disease two-and-a-half years ago and after treatment thought she had conquered the condition.

But when she was given the devastating news that the illness was back she vowed to do everything she could to give something back to those who helped her.

Initially she began selling her possessions, hoping to raise £200, but has since raised an incredible £15,000 for Cancer Research UK – and she hasn’t finished yet.

Sueand her friends have created a naked calendar which they hope will capture the public’s imagination and encourage them donate even more money.

Sue, who used to work as a support worker, said: “It’s been very positive and it’s great – it’s been a laugh.

“A friend came to give me a lift to the photo shoot and somebody had backed out, so she had to get her kit off.

“It’s just the community spirit. Even when I’m gone I want it to carry on.”

But despite enjoying the overall calendar shoot experience, Sue admitted to being a little nervous initially.

She said: “It was nerve-wracking – I’ve definitely not done anything like that before.”

Her friend Wendy Young came up with the idea of a naked calendar, and says it wasn’t difficult to find women willing to get their kit off for a good cause.

“They were all up for it and every single person who did it had their reason to do it”, said Wendy.

“I suggested the idea on Facebook and within half an hour I had 12 girls.”
