Southampton FC sign up to Stoptober
SOUTHAMPTON Football Club are getting on board with a scheme to encourage people to stop smoking for the whole of October this weekend.
The football club is backing Public Health England’s 28 day stop smoking attempt, Stoptober, encouraging people to quit smoking next month.
During today’s home Premier League game against Swansea City today a team of advisors will be working in the stands to raise awareness of Stoptober’s launch on October 1.
A team of volunteers will also be in Southampton tomorrow in the market place outside West Quay to raise awareness from 11am till 5pm.
ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent stars Faces of Disco will also be performing in the city centre.
