A WOMAN accused of fraud in relation to two charity fundraisers is to stand trial at Southampton Crown Court.
Karolin Jones, 28, of Ordnance Way in Marchwood, is facing two allegations of fraud following events allegedly held to raise cash for Southampton General Hospital.
Jones is accused of not passing the money on to Southampton Hospital Charity.
In August 2013 she staged a fundraiser at the Lloyd Recreation Ground in Main Road, Marchwood. It was followed a few months later by a similar event at the Vine Inn at Ower, near Romsey.
The allegations are said to involve cash totalling about £3,000.
She did not formally enter a plea when she appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today but elected to have her case heard at the city’s crown court.
Magistrates were told that a preliminary hearing on November 27 would be followed by a trial lasting at least three days.
Jones was remanded on unconditional bail.
