An investigation has been launched today following a report of a serious sexual assault in Southampton.
The assault is alleged to have happened in Craven Street in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened near to the underpass at some time between 12.30am and 1am.

Specially trained officers are currently working with the victim, a 30-year-old woman form the local area.
Detectives at Shirley CID are appealing for anyone who was in the area or using the underpass around the time of the incident to contact them, asking for Operation Endfield, on 0845 045 45 45.
