AN articulated lorry ended up down the embankment of the A34 this morning.

Traffic was disrupted on the southbound carriageway between Three Maids Hill and Easton where the accident happened just after 9am.

Firefighters from Winchester were called to deal with the accident after reports the driver was trapped but on arrival they found he had managed to escape without serious injury.

Police were also in attendance to manage the traffic while the wreckage was recovered.

Isn't that what the Highways Agency Patrols were introduced to manage, freeing up our Police officers?

You truck driving types are always moaning about something on the roads...if not then the price of fuel.

Don't you realise most accidents are probably caused by badly driven lorries ?

I thought they were to drive up and down motorways in expensive off road 4x4's at no more than 50mph and cause as much mayhem to traffic flow as they could. TW##S

As regards your comment... You truck driving types.. who the hell do you think you are?
