A WOMAN sustained bruises and grazes following an attempted indecent assault in Eastleigh.
A man pulled the victim, who is in her 30s, into South Street as she walked along Southampton Road. She fought back and eventually her attacker ran away down Southampton Road towards Eastleigh station.
The man is described as white, in his 20s or 30s, between 6ft and 6ft 2ins, with short brown hair that was gelled and spiky and he was wearing black clothes.
DC Jon Davies, of Eastleigh CID, said: "The woman bravely fought off her attacker and fortunately received only minor injuries."
The incident happened between midnight and 12.30am last Wednesday (APR30) but police have only now released the details because they were gathering witness statements.
