Damien and Jesus hunted by police

A MAN nicknamed Jesus and another known only as Damien are being sought by police following an alleged false imprisonment of three men at a Hampshire car wash.

Officers raided the garage which has a forecourt used for a car wash and valet business after allegations that the victims had been robbed.

Detectives say one of the trio was tied up and allegedly beaten with an iron bar.

They had gone to the garage, where four other men were staying, around 10pm last Thursday.

All the men involved are Polish and some are thought to have been staying on the site.

Police sealed off the area and closed the business in Wilton Road, Southampton, while they investigated the claims throughout last Friday.

One of the men known to have been at the garage when the victims arrived is still outstanding.

He is known only as Jesus.

One of the three men who visited the garage has also yet to be traced by police and he is known in the community as Damien.

Detectives at Shirley are urging members of the Polish community to come forward and speak to police.

A translator can be provided by phone on the 0845 045 4545 number or in person if they attend a police station.

  • Three men were arrested and later charged with false imprisonment and robbery. They have all been remanded in custody and will appear at Southampton Crown Court in June.
